We can now officially call Taylor Lautner A Boy Toy. In addition to becoming the action figure-turned-cartoon Max Steel, Heat Vision reports that Lautner has nabbed the lead in another toy driven franchise: Stretch Armstrong.

Stretch Armstrong will be based on the Hasbro toy that was born in the 1970s and relaunched in the 1980s. Unlike Max Steel, Stretch never even got a cartoon or comic book to call his own. He was just stretchy. Naturally, this won’t do for a live action adaptation, so Universal and screenwriter Steve Oedekerk have given him a goofy origin story.

Stretch is now an “uptight spy who stumbles on a stretching formula.” For whatever reason, he drinks it, and develops a power that rivals Mister Fantastic’s. He decides the power to stretch must be used for good, and becomes a crimefighter. To make it even more appealing, Universal plans to make the film in 3D. This will undoubtedly be every member of Team Jacob’s dream come true, though I find the idea of 3D extended extremities absolutely terrifying.

There’s no doubt about it.. Hollywood has declared Lautner the new action star. I don’t think Sam Worthington is going to take kindly to the news that he’s already in danger of losing his crown. Can we get a movie where the two of them face off in single combat? In 3D? I think that’s the only way to figure out who’s the bigger man.

In the upcoming movie, “Remember Me”, Robert Pattinson stars as Tyler, a rebellious guy living in New York City, who has a strained relationship with his father, ever since tragedy separated their family.

Tyler felt that no one could understand his pain, until he met Ally. Her character is played by co-star Emilie de Ravin. The two meet through an usual twist of fate and fall in love, but the circumstances that brought them together, may just tear them apart.

The movie is set for a March 12th release. Check out the new stills from the movie to see Rob looking less and less like Edward Cullen.

Music mogul Simon Cowell quickly got together over 20 recording artists to re-record R.E.M.’s 1993 hit song, “Everybody Hurts” in an effort to aid those affected by the earthquake in Haiti.

Appearing on the single are Robbie Williams, Leona Lewis, Susan Boyle, Rod Stewart, Mariah Carey, Cheryl Cole, Jon Bon Jovi, Michael Buble, Kylie Minogue, Susan Boyle, Westlife and more.

Kudos to Miley Cyrus for getting some celebrities together to auction off goods for Haiti relief. It beats listening to her music, that’s for sure.

She said, “Ever since the earthquake, I’ve been trying to do my part to help the people of Haiti - and I wanted to do more.”

Miley has organized an eBay auction that you can view by going to ebay.com/miley, to help the earthquake victims and their families. Starting February 8th, you can bid on Hugh Jackman’s next movie premiere, Whoopi Goldberg’s tennis shoes, Demi Lovato’s tour wardrobe and more.

She is also auctioning the dress that she wore to the 2010 Grammy Awards (pictured above), in addition to two tickets to the upcoming Hollywood premiere of her latest movie, “The Last Song”.

Nicole Richie donated House of Harlow jewelry and Britney Spears has donated her 2008 VMAs dress (pictured below).

Miley said, “Everyone has been so generous. My mom and I started calling and texting all of our riends to see if they’d like to be a part of the auction. Demi was one of the first to respond. Hugh Jackman was also excited to donate something.”

As for Richie’s contribution, Cyrus says she relied on some technology to reach out to her. “I texted Nicole and right away she sent over some amazing jewelry and Joel [Madden] sent some of his clothes.”

With all proceeds going to the American Red Cross to support emergency relief efforts in Haiti, “I want to get people involved and show that even the little things you can do can make a difference,” Cyrus says.

Rumor has it that Shock Jock Howard Stern has been tapped to replace Mr. Nasty, Simon Cowell on “American Idol”. Call us crazy, but I think they might just have something there.

It was said earlier this year that Simon would be exiting stage left to jump on the “X Factor” bandwagon, so that leaves us without a resident Idol bad guy.

An “Idol” source said, “It’s one of the few shows that could compete with Stern’s $100-million-a-year Sirius contract, and ‘Idol’ bosses think he’d be even nastier than Simon.”

Howard may not like jumping around to listen to people audition for the singing competition, though. On his radio show, he said, “I was approached by a major TV network to take over a show and leave here and do that next year — and I did turn it down… I’m not even sure if I want to be working. I’m waiting to see what happens.”

The “Idol” source added, “They know he would be great TV and would clash with the other judges such as Ellen DeGeneres and the contestants. ‘Idol’ will do what it takes to sign him.”

A source close to Howard said that “this is a ploy to make Sirius pay up and keep him on his huge contract. But if Sirius can’t pay him the money he wants, he may negotiate to film ‘Idol’ on the side.”

Kristen Stewart kindly posed with a security guard after doing jury duty earlier this week. After the fan’s wife posted the photo on the internet, it spread like wildfire.

Now, the court worker faces losing his job because the courts have strict rules on photographing celebrities when they are doing their civic duty.

The guard’s wife removed the photo (above) and said, “Cancelled because unfortunately the photo that went up from Kristen in court was stolen and put on several blogs and got to the media (the press) and reached the ears of the court. Right now my husband and the security guard are in trouble for it having gone up and second because it is confidential when celebrities are in court.”

Kristen hopes that the pic won’t get the guys in trouble. She said, “Now I feel bad…I am really scared, because I think it is possible that they could lose their jobs.”

Lighten up everyone, it’s just a photo with a fan.

In other Gaga related news, some are saying the pop singer snubbed an appearance on the new “We Are The World” song, dedicated to the people affected by the Haiti earthquake.

In response, she said, “I’ve actually been in rehearsal for my new tour, but I was never supposed to do ‘We Are the World.’ So that’s a rumor. I believe that they may have asked, yes, about it, but I was unable to do it.”

But don’t think that she hasn’t done her part to help Haiti. She added, “I’ve been working on my own charity projects for Haiti. We’ve raised over half a million dollars for Haiti already and we like to work specifically with charities that are based in Haiti itself.”
