Dance Moms – Season 4 “Tap Versus Hip Hop” – RECAP

Dance Moms - Season 4 'Tap Versus Hip Hop'

Dance Moms returns to Lifetime tonight with a new episode called, “Tap Versus Hip Hop.”

On tonight’s show after being in Hollywood with Maddie, filming “Abby’s Ultimate Dance Competition” & scouting studios, Abby has returned home. Abby learns that her dancers have been slacking off and she is not pleased If you missed the drama of last episode, we have the full recap RIGHT HERE!!

On last week’s episode the all-new Dance Moms Chatter talk show welcomed none other than Abby Lee Miller herself, Dance Mom Melissa and celebrity blogger Nadine Rajabi and comedian Alec Mapa. We found out who cried and whom they were most scared of and who was a better dance teacher/studio owner: Cathy or Abby.

On tonight’s show after several months in Hollywood, Abby returns to the Abby Lee Dance Company to find her dancers have been slacking off…all except Maddie and Mackenzie. While she was gone, all the moms made a pact to turn down Abby’s invitation for their daughters to perform on national television. But Melissa eventually folded, causing a new rift between her and the other mothers. Meanwhile, Abby pits Maddie against Chloe with two opposite solos: Tap versus Hip Hop. And now with Asia on the team, Mackenzie is forced to step up her game.

Tonight’s episode is going to be another drama packed one, which you won’t want to miss. So be sure to tune in for live coverage of Lifetime’s Dance Moms Season 4 “Tap Versus Hip Hop” — tonight at 9PM EST.

Interesting that Maddie was given a tap solo which is clearly one of her best dance genres (if not her best since taking lessons in tap since age 4) Chloe, however, is given hip hop which is not even offered at the dance studio. Additionally, Maddie has extra time with Abby to run the routine while Chloe is left on her own with the exception of some mentoring by Peyton(fellow student who is 11). Abby claims to care about all of her students. If this were true Chloe would have been given ballet which is one of her strongest dance genres.
