Randy Jackson Finally Quits ‘American Idol’

After over a decade of judging contestants and discovering stars (kind of) Randy Jackson has finally quit American Idol!

Jackson just announced moments ago that he was leaving Idol at the end of this season.

Randy Jackson Finally Quits 'American Idol'

Jackson, the only original judge remaining on the show, released a statement today saying, “Yo! Yo! Yo! To put all of the speculation to the rest, after 12 years of judging on ‘American Idol’ I have decided it is time to leave after this season.”

“I am very proud of how we forever changed television and the music industry. It’s been a life changing opportunity but I am looking forward to focusing on my company Dream Merchant 21 and other business ventures.”

In other words, Randy knows this ship is sinking and he wants out!

Ratings have been falling season after season in recent years despite the revolving door of new celebrity judges. It looks like the show might be coming to an end in the near future.

Good move Randy… or should I say DAWG!
