Wired Contest: It’s A Good Day to Die Hard Giveaway
It’s been twenty-five years since a shoeless, shirtless Bruce Willis, as beleagured NY cop John McClane, uttered his first “Yippee-ki-yay” while taking down hordes of heavily-armed baddies in director John McTiernan’s Die Hard.
That’s 25 years of sweat, dirt and blowing stuff up.
The Die Hard series is a series of action movies beginning with Die Hard in 1988, which was based on the 1979 bestselling novel, Nothing Lasts Forever by Roderick Thorp.
In the 5th installment, McClane travels to Russia to help out his seemingly wayward son, Jack (Jai Courtney), only to discover that Jack is a CIA operative working to prevent a nuclear-weapons heist, causing the father and son to team up against underworld forces.
With the Russian underworld in pursuit, and battling a countdown to war, the two McClanes discover that their opposing methods make them unstoppable heroes.
In celebration of the latest Die Hard installment, we’ve partnered with 20th Century Fox and are giving away:

I love when they are doing math in die hard with a vengeance with the water bottles.
The slow-motion death of Hans Gruber, near the end of the first Die Hard. Just the fear on Alan Rickman’s face as he is falling, is just priceless, and a little scary.
