Jimmy Fallon to Replace Jay Leno on ‘Tonight Show’

NBC has reportedly thrown their support hose on for Jimmy Fallon. Jay Leno is supposedly out the door again and the network “has made a commitment” to promote Fallon.

I have been told I can be cold and negative, so we will just skip over the part where NBC did the same thing to Conan and then, after moving his entire life/family, across the country and taking the reigns as host told him to GTFO. I am sure this is going to AWESOME.

The Hollywood Reporter insists the switch will happen soon as “top executives at NBCUniversal are leaning toward a February launch.” Why? Because they seem to think Fallon will some sort of edge for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia.

Ok…right. Why really? Leno would not be able join a rival network until his contract expired in September.

Lorne Michaels threw in his opinion and told GQ, “I’m not allowed to say it — yet. But I think there’s an inevitability to it. He’s the closest to [Johnny] Carson that I’ve seen of this generation.”

He has met Jimmy Fallon, right? Jimmy is alright, but this is the best the network can come up with? They bent over the witty ginge without so much as a courtesy reach around for some basic bitch?

I digress, the network screwed up long ago and now it seems they are left trying to battle ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Good luck with that NBC.
