Elisabeth Hasselbeck Fired From ‘The View’?

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Fired From 'The View'

The day has finally come … Elisabeth Hasselbeck is being fired from “The View,” according to Us Weekly.

Hasselbeck, 35, joined the long-running women-oriented talk show in 2003 and is an outspoken conservative, often clashing with well… damn near everyone.

I’m surprised she’s lasted this long.

Hasselbeck’s spats became epic. In 2006, she got into an on-air tangle with her cohosts over the morning-after pill, which Hasselbeck opposes. “I believe that life begins at the moment of conception,” she said.

In 2007, a rift between Hasselbeck and former cohost Rosie O’Donnell over the Iraq war got extensive media play. More recently, she’s had an ongoing feud with HBO host Bill Maher.

Co-host Joy Behar, who has been with the program since its debut in 1997, said on Thursday that she would leave the show after this season.

Hasselbeck and Behar host the show alongside veteran TV journalist Barbara Walters, actress Whoopi Goldberg and actress-comedienne Sherri Shepherd.
