J.J. Abrams To Direct New ‘Star Wars’ Film

Disney has their eyes set on 2015 to release a new trilogy of “Star Wars” films and now it looks like they have found their director!

It is being reported that a deal is being finalized to have J.J. Abrams direct the upcoming films.

As well all know by now, Disney bought Lucasfilm from George Lucas for $4 billion last year. After purchasing the company Disney announced the launch of a brand new set of “Star Wars” movies.

Abrams will almost certainly be directing the Michael Arndt script which has been rumored to be focused on a new generation of heroes in the depths of space.

This isn’t Abrams first delve into the sci-fi department, in 2009 he directed the “Star Trek” reboot and its soon-to-come sequel.

Yeah… it’s just wrong that two competing Sci-Fi franchises have the same director. Don’t like this AT ALL. Besides, Star Wars is SO played out. It’s done. Lucas RUINED it when he intro’d Jar Jar Binks. #ack!
