It has been over 40 years since The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour, but now it looks like Cher might finally be coming back to TV!
The singer and actress has just signed a development deal with the Logo network to work on a new television pilot.
The announcement was made today, but there is still a lot of information that is not known about the future project.
But what is known is that Cher has teamed up with comedian Ron Zimmerman and that the script is set in the early 1960s in Hollywood.
“We read some of the stuff that Cher and Ron had written and it was really terrific,” said network senior VP Brent Zacky. “We came up with an idea set in Hollywood in the early ’60s and we’re very excited to see how we get through the process.”
“The deal is brand-new and we’re just getting started on the project.”
