85th Academy Awards® Nominations Announced (Complete List)

Nominations for the 85th Academy Awards® were announced today (Thursday, January 10) by this year’s Oscar host, Seth MacFarlane, and actress Emma Stone.

“Lincoln,” Steven Spielberg’s opus about the 16th president’s political maneuverings to abolish slavery, led the pack of nominees with 12 nominations including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress.

The surprise? Ben Affleck didn’t get a Best Director nor a Best Actor nod for Iran hostage crisis film Argo when many had seen him as a top contender for both awards.
