In the wake of her song “Die Young” being pulled from radio stations, Ke$ha wants you to know that she never wanted to sing the controversial lyrics — despite being listed as one of the writers.
The song was released back in September and has continued to be one of the most listened to songs on the charts (#3 on radio playlists).
That is until the day of the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre, when radio stations slowly began removing it from rotation.
Ke$ha jumped on Twitter to apologize for the song and then tweeted (later deleted) that she was forced to sing the lyrics.
“I understand. I had my very own issue with “die young” for this reason. I did NOT want to sing those lyrics and I was FORCED TO.”
The lyrics include: “Let’s make the most of the night like we’re gonna die young. We’re gonna die young. We’re gonna die young.”
Who FORCED her to sing the lyrics?
