Carly Rae Jepsen’s Song ‘Call Me Maybe’ Stolen?

Did Carly Rae Jepsen shamelessly steal her hit song, ‘Call Me Maybe‘?

That’s what a Ukrainian singer claims.

The singer, who goes by Aza, is filing the lawsuit in Los Angeles and says ‘Call Me Maybe‘ is a carbon copy of her song ‘Hunky Santa‘, which producers simply tweaked before adding Carly’s voice.

Aza told TMZ:

“I’m shocked and surprised that these people wanted to sample my lyrics on their song. They didn’t ask me for permission, they just took it. That’s why I filed this lawsuit. When I first heard it on the radio, I was driving and almost got into an accident. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.”

Justin Bieber‘s manager, Scooter Braun, is also named in the lawsuit.

Compare the two video’s below:

Carly Rae Jepsen has denied the allegations with her rep telling TMZ:

“This is completely false and Carly’s lawyers will deal with this. Everyone knows Carly is a songwriter. She is not spending a lot of time listening to Ukrainian radio.”

Does she spend any amount of time listening to it?

This is a joke right? If not, and if it’s serious, then that Ukranian bitch is deaf and needs to see a doctor ASAP.

These songs sound nothing alike. The Ukranian girl sounds like a freakin porno.. And I’m pretty sure that’s not singing.. It’s talking and holding your words out. Please I hope this is a joke. I don’t see the similarities at all?! Ones about Santa and the other is a catchy song about calling someone, two totatally different songs in my opinion.
