The season finale of BrandX with Russell Brand airs tonight, and for those of you who are fans (we’re one of them), the show will return!

FX announced the renewal this past weekend during the TCA (Television Critics Association) press tour, saying an additional seven episodes will air this fall.

“There’s many changes we’re going to be making to BrandX … I’m truly excited by the week to week creative growth through the five episodes that have aired to date,” FX Entertainment’s president and general manager John Landgraf said.

As most of our readers are aware, Allie is Wired recently held a contest which sent one of our readers to this weeks taping of the show.

Russell Brand is not only extremely intelligent, he’s absolutely hilarious. I was surprised to see how trusting he was, and the amount of time he spent mingling with fans after the show.

At one point during taping, Russell announced that he was hungry and before we knew it, he was eating a banana that was given to him by a random audience member (from the bottom of her purse). See what I mean? Trusting.

Spoiler alert … bruised knees!

Not only was our winner able to interact with Russell during the show, she was also able to pose in a photo with him afterwards. What a gracious host.

We’ll be watching.
