Movies and TV Shows We’re Watching This Summer
If you thought there was nothing worth watching during the Summer, think again!
But if you’re like me, you’re always on the go, so finding time to sit down can be rather difficult. Besides, this is the time of year we shouldn’t be wasting away indoors.
With Sony’s first LTE smartphone, the Xperia™ ion, you can watch all your favorite shows when the time is right for you.
The Xperia ion will give you access to millions of songs, blockbuster movies, and the latest TV shows from Music Unlimited and Video Unlimited (available from the Google Play store), all on the Sony Entertainment Network. That’s HD entertainment at your fingertips!
Here’s what you might not be watching, but you totally should be.

1. “Breaking Bad” (10 p.m. Sundays, AMC), Breaking Bad is undoubtedly the best show on television. The show has gotten more gut-wrenching with every season, and it’s clearly not slowing down now. It’s the beginning of the end, as the show kicks off its fifth and final season. Through a combination of luck, grit, and evil wizardry, Walt/Heisenberg is out to get his and doesn’t take kindly to those who get in his way.

2. “True Blood” (9 p.m. Sundays, HBO), Our favorite vampire drama is back to it’s audacious, bloody, edgy, fang-tastic form. Much like the Charlaine Harris books the HBO series is based on, “True Blood” is a guilty pleasure. Lafayette (played by Nelsan Ellis) channeling spirits, newbie vampire Tara (Rutina Wesley) working as a burlesque dancer, Jessica (Deborah Ann Woll) going wild and old-school vampire Bill (Stephen Moyer) seemingly sucking down on Sookie (Anna Paquin)… supernatural wackiness!

3. “21 Jump Street” – Lots of TV shows from the ’70s and ’80s have been made into films, a 21 Jump Street was inevitable. In the action-comedy, Schmidt (Jonah Hill) and Jenko (Channing Tatum) are more than ready to leave their adolescent problems behind. Tatum is the real surprise: Generally better known for pure-muscle roles in films like Step Up and G.I. Joe, the former stripper proves he has adept comic chops. The film has no right to be as funny as it is, when you consider it’s a rehash of a long-gone 1980s cop show, but it’s well worth a watch for an amusing night’s entertainment, especially for fans of Anchorman and Superbad.

4. “Sherlock Holmes – A Game of Shadows” – Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role as the world’s most famous detective, Sherlock Holmes. As with the first Holmes movie, you have to pay attention to the dialog and clues when you watch this movie. A Game of Shadows assures us that escapism is good and that mischief must be celebrated. The bromance between Holmes and Watson is utterly charming. Why aren’t more movies made with this wonderful combination of wit, action, and comedy?

5. “Project Runway” (10 p.m. Thursdays, Lifetime) – Project Runway is back for its 10th season, one that judges Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia promise will be less about the showroom drama and more about the designers’ work. Aside from loving everything beauty and fashion, you just never know how much wackiness will make its way into the finished product. Oh… and there’s the drama.
BONUS: Don’t forget, the original reality series, the 2012 Summer Olympic Games, runs through Sunday, August 12th on NBC.
