While you were sleeping, Snooki and Jionni LaValle welcomed Lorenzo Dominic into the world.

Lorenzo Dominic LaValle was born in a New Jersey hospital, weight 6 pounds and 5 ounces.

Making an announcement on Twitter to her fans Snooki said, “I am SO IN LOVE with my son Lorenzo Dominic ! I had my little man last night, healthy at 6lbs! HE’S MY WORLD!”

The reality star has behaved herself since she announced her pregnancy and engagement to LaValle on a spinoff show, “Snooki and JWoww.”

MTV released a statement this morning congratulating the new parents.

“We couldn’t be happier for Nicole and Jionni on the healthy delivery of their baby boy!” the network said. “We look forward to Lorenzo’s first trip to the Jersey Shore and can’t wait to see his first animal print onesie.”
