Wow so it’s only been about 10 minutes and John Mayer is already over Katy Perry… this must be a new record!

That’s right, it looks like the two singers were only a summer fling and a source confirms they are no longer dating.

Those who saw the couple said they were a good match, but apparently they weren’t good enough.

“They almost acted like they’ve been a couple for a long time,” one observer revealed. “It definitely didn’t seem like a new relationship.”

Perry, 27, and Mayer, 34, were spotted out and about Hollywood, going to places like the Chateau Marmont together as well as a huge birthday party at an agent’s house.

“They’ll end up as friends,” the source says. “They were honestly having fun. People made it out to be far more than it was.”
