Director Tony Scott Commits Suicide, Dead At 68
Tony Scott, the director of “Top Gun” among many other films, is dead after jumping off an L.A. bridge!
The famed director jumped to his death off the Vincent Thomas Bridge in Los Angeles County, California.
According to the Coroner, Scott jumped off the bridge which spans San Pedro and Terminal Island around 12:30pm Sunday.
His body was recovered in the murky waters around 4:30pm.
U.S. Coast Guard Lt. Jennifer Osburn reveals that a suicide note was found in Scott’s car, but the contents of the note are still unknown.
Independent sources have suggested that Scott’s suicide was caused by a recent diagnosis for inoperable brain cancer.
Tony, who is brothers with “Alien” director Ridley Scott, directed big films such as “Top Gun,” “Beverly Hills Cop II,” “Enemy of the State,” and “The Taking of Pelham 123.”
Tony Scott was 68-years-old.
