‘Carrie’ Remake: First Look At New Cast (Photos)

The remake of the 1974 horror classic, “Carrie,” is set to be released next year, but the first photos of the lead characters have already hit the web!

Photos of the film’s lead characters Carrie White and her overly religious mother Margaret have been released and they are as creepy as ever!

First we see Chloe Moretz as the blood soaked prom queen with telekinetic powers looking just as frightening as the original Carrie played by Sissy Spacek.

The 15-year-old Moretz has played a masked vigilante in Matthew Vaughn’s satirical “Kick-Ass” as well as an elder vampire trapped in the body of a child in the film “Let Me In,” but “Carrie” will definitely be her biggest role yet!

Will she be able to pull it off? Judging by the above photo, she’s going to do just fine.

Next we see Julianne Moore as Carrie’s abusive and ultra-religious mother, Margaret White, in her infamous final scene.

In regards to her character Moore said, “This woman has clearly had a psychotic break, perhaps several. But what’s sad about it for me is that she’s clearly sick and here’s this poor child in the thrall of this person who is seriously ill.”

“And on top of that, they have this mother-daughter relationship. So we want to make that relationship as meaningful as possible, even though it is horrible and destructive.”

“Carrie” will hit theaters March 13, 2013.

I’m so excited.
