So You Think You Can Dance Season 9 ‘Top 20 Perform & 4 Eliminated’ Recap 7/18/12

So You Think You Can Dance airs on FOX with a whole new episode. This week the Top 20 dancers of Season 9 will perform and four will be eliminated. Did you watch the last episode? If you did not we have a full and detailed recap here!

On last week’s show the Top 20 performed and the judges had some dancers they loved and some not so much. The live performances started with a bang with one of the most exciting live shows in our history. Judge Mary Murphy said about last week’s show, “One of my favorite numbers tonight was from SYTYCD alumni Travis Wall, starring Audrey and Matthew.

I still can’t help but be amazed when two people who have never danced with one another before can produce this kind of chemistry, transition from new material, and feel one with the music, but that is exactly what they did! I don’t know how America feels, but I would fall off my chair if these two dancers were put in danger so don’t get me crazy on this one!

On tonight’s show the Top 20 get a second change to perform and after their performance six dancers, three girls and three boys will be in jeopardy. Four dancer will be sent home by Nigel Lythgoe, Mary Murphy and guest judge Adam Shankman.

Also just because the dancers are in pairs it does not mean that they won’t be eliminated. After tonight’s vote the pairs may be broken up and someone may be getting a new partner.

Tonight’s episode looks like it is going to be another night of incredible dances and you won’t want to miss it, so be sure to tune in for our live coverage of FOX’s So You Think You Can Dance at 8:00 PM EST! While you wait for our recap hit the comments and let us know what you thing of SYTYCD Season 9, so far!
