Lady Gaga has just announced that she will be starring in “Machete Kills” directed by Robert Rodriguez!

The film is a sequel to 2010′s “Machete” starring Danny Trejo.

Gaga will be making her debut acting performance as La Chameleon, a gun-wielding, fur sporting bombshell.

According to the film's IMDB, “The U.S. government recruits Machete to battle his way through Mexico in order to take down an arms dealer who looks to launch a weapon into space.”

Gaga released her official promo photo for the film on littlemonsters.com.

Rodriguez took to his Twitter to praise the singer turned actress saying, “I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills , she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!”

The film will also feature Sofia Vergara as well as Charlie Sheen as the president of the United States!

“Machete Kills” is set to be released in 2013.
