Jennifer Lopez Officially Quits ‘American Idol’

Jennifer Lopez announced today that she has quit her judging job at “American Idol.”

Lopez called into “An Air with Ryan Seacrest” this morning to break the news.

“I honestly feel like the time has come that I have to get back to doing the other things that I do,” the singer admitted.

“Something has to give,” added Lopez. “We had an amazing run.”

The announcement comes just one day after Steven Tyler announced his resignation from the show.

So with Lopez and Tyler quitting that just leaves Randy Jackson, but the rumor is that producers are looking to replace the last original judge.

Now it’s up to the show’s producers to find brand new judges, but will any addition save the show that has been suffering from declining ratings in recent years?
