Andy Griffith Dies At Age 86

Television icon, Andy Griffith has passed away at the age of 86!

The star of “The Andy Griffith Show” died today at his home in Manteo, North Carolina.

News of Griffith’s death was confirmed by his close friend, former UNC President Bill Friday.

Friday broke the news to the local news in North Carolina.

Griffith also starred in “Mayberry R.F.D.” as well as the series “Matlock.”

Not only did Andy act, but he was also a Grammy award-winning gospel singer!

Lastly, Griffith was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2005 by George W. Bush.

Rest in peace Andy Griffith.
