Matthew Solomon is an emerging artist who got his start by being the first winner of Bravo’s “The Kandi Factory” with Real Housewife of Atlanta, Kandi Burress.

We caught up with Matthew at Velvet Lounge in Orange County, California where he was performing some his Kandi produced track “Take That” as well as his new single “Time To Shine.”

Allie Is Wired originally spoke with Matthew at the very beginning of his journey coming straight off the Kandi Factory trying to get his foothold in the music business.

Now the singer is performing all over the country promoting his newly released EP “Time To Shine” which is now available on iTunes.

“My new single is about my experience on ‘The Kandi Factory’ and how all these opportunities have come from doing the show,” explains Solomon. “It’s such a catchy dance tune, I love it.”

“The other songs off my EP are ‘Electrocute Me’ which is such an awesome, sexy dance song. Then there’s ‘Forget You’ which is like another ‘Take That’ kind of song. That song’s a ‘f*ck you’ to all of your ex-lovers and haters.”

This summer Matthew will be performing at The House of Blues in Anaheim, California as well as OC Pride.
