‘Teen Mom’ Amber Portwood Starts Five Year Jail Sentence
“Teen Mom” star Amber Portwood has just checked in to an Indiana prison to begin her 5-year sentence.
Portwood was arrested for drug possession back in December 2011.
When convicted in January, the judge offered to get Amber into a drug program as an alternative to prison.
The 22-year-old took the deal, but later dropped out and decided she’d rather go to jail… um okay.
According to Law enforcement, Amber was transported to the Rockville Correctional Facility at 7:45 AM this morning.
Amber starred on the hit MTV show “16 and Pregnant” back in 2009 and has since found herself in trouble with law on multiple occasions.
Her daughter, Leah Leann Shirley, will be 8 years old when she is released.
