Phillip Phillips is on the road to recovery and ready to go on tour!

The 21-year-old “Idol” champ has been released from the hospital after having surgery to remove large kidney stones.

“I’m out of the hospital and back to work!” he said. “Looking forward to the future.”

According to TMZ, the Georgia native is resting at a mansion in Malibu, Calif., which is owned by an “Idol” executive.

Over the weekend, Phillip Tweeted, “Just want to tell everyone thank you for the concerns and prayers, it means a lot to my family and I. I’m just resting and healing.”

He posted today, “Ready to be able to pick the guitar back up and REALLY play…..its been too long!”

Phillip is expected to play all 45 shows of the upcoming “American Idol” tour, which kicks off on July 6th in Detroit.
