The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has opened their doors to a new open-air theatre, located on the Academy Hollywood campus. Oscars Outdoors is a summer screening series that will feature fabulous movies under the stars. Bring a blanket and enjoy movies such as Casablanca, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Stagecoach, Dreamgirls and more. Tickets are $5 – order here.

This year is the 50th anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s passing and the Hollywood Museum is honoring her in a huge exhibit that opened today. The highlight of the exhibit are never before seen photos of Marilyn, photographed by George Barris. There will also be items from her personal wardrobe, dresses from films, and prescription bottles found next to her bed at the time of her death. See more about the exhibit here.
