Celebrities Turn Out For Capital FM Summertime Ball (Photos & Video)

Cheryl Cole made a surprise appearance at last night’s Capital FM Summertime Ball.

UK radio station Capital FM celebrated its annual ‘Summertime Ball’ extravaganza at Wembley Stadium in London on Saturday, with over 80,000 people in attendance.

Along with Cole, the A-list line-up included: Justin Bieber, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Flo Rida, Usher, Coldplay, Jessie J and Rita Ora.

Coldplay opened the evening’s proceedings with frontman Chris Martin introducing the band by joking, “We’re Coldplay and we’re Justin Bieber’s dads.”

After Justin performed, he said he was amazed to see so many of his ‘Beliebers’ holding up signs and singing along.

“It’s crazy, I mean, just to have the fan base,” Justin told Capital FM after his performance. “You know, going out there and seeing 80,000 people, and half of those people have my sign up! It’s crazy!”

Katy Perry performed a huge headline set, complete with a surprise cover of the iconic Queen hit ‘We Are The Champions’.

“England! Did you have a great time tonight? I’m so happy you saved me for last!” Katy announced. “I have never played here before and this is an incredible feeling. I want you to sing along to this next song, it’s called ‘Part Of Me’.”
