Alice Cooper said he couldn’t wait to “kill” the Bonnaroo audience, and that’s exactly what he did.
The most shocking part of the set came at the very end, when the heavy-metal rocker performed a cover of Lady Gaga‘s Born This Way, which turns out to be a perfect song for Alice.
The cover wasn’t completely out of the blue. Cooper and Gaga are fans of each other’s work.
After the two met at one of her shows in March of last year, she tweeted “I just died and went to hell” and included the above photo of them together.
Cooper also welcomed back the boa constrictor, which became almost the iconic symbol of Cooper in the 1980′s but which was done away with in the 90′s for less care intensive props.
Don’t hate. He was born this way.
