Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore star in the new coming-of-age film “LOL” about the relationship between mother and daughter in the modern world.
The film is about a teen named Lola (Cyrus) as she and her friends navigate the peer pressures of high school romance and friendship, while dodging their sometimes overbearing parents.
In the movie, Lola’s mother, Anne (Moore), reads her daughter’s racy journal, she realizes just how distant they have become.
“LOL is a trans-generational movie about relationships between friends and family,” says director Lisa Azuelos. “How parents and kids keep hiding one from each other when it comes to emotions.”
“Above all a human comedy about the gracious age that is high school,” adds Azuelos.
When asked about what it was like working with huge stars like Demi Moore and Miley Cyrus, Azuelos said, “It was amazing, I love all my actors. They are great and talented and funny. We were like a little family!”
The film has already hit 100 theaters in the Houston, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Nashville, and Cleveland and could soon expand to more!
