Michael McKean Of ‘Laverne & Shirley’ Struck By A Vehicle (Photo)

Michael McKean, best known for playing Lenny in the ’70s sitcom Laverne and Shirley was involved in an automobile accident.

McKean is recovering in a Manhattan hospital after he was struck by a car on the upper West Side.

“He’ll be okay, hopefully he’ll be fine,” said his publicist Harriet Sternberg. “It’s pretty devastating.”

McKean is being treated at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital for a broken leg and facial lacerations.

Reportedly the car went out of control before jumping the curb at 86th Street and Broadway as McKean was walking down the sidewalk.

The impact knocked him from the pavement into the street, and he was seen coughing up blood.

No criminal charges are being filed.
