With only two episodes left of the second season HBO’s hit show Game of Thrones returns tonight with the ninth episode called ‘Blackwater.’ Stand by as we live blog tonight’s episode with the up-to-the-minute details.

On last week’s episode Theon held down the fort at Winterfell and received a visit from his sister, Yara who wants him to come home. She is worried what Robb start will do when he finds out Theon has taken over Winterfell and has killed the two Stark boys (at least Yara thinks he has). Robb was betrayed by his mother Catelyn, she allowed Jamie Lannister to escape. Catelyn believes Jamie can help her save her children but Robb know she has been fooled by Jamie.

Stannis and Davos approached their destination of Kings Landing and are only two days away. Ygritte brought Jon Snow before her leader the Lord of The Bones as a prize. Meanwhile, Arya convinces Jaqen to help her and her friends escape since he cannot perform her last wish fast enough. On tonight’s episode A massive battle rages for control of King’s Landing and the Iron Throne. It is the Battle of Blackwater Bay and Tyrion and the Lannisters fight for their lives as Stannis’ fleet assaults King’s Landing. In the preview for tonight’s episode Tyrion reminds us, “If the city falls, Stannis will burn every Lannister he can find.”
