Cedric Gervais Releases ‘Have You Seen Molly’ Music Video

The music video for the song “Have You Seen Molly,” which has gained international fame due to the Madonna/ Deadmau5 controversy, has just been released!

In our exclusive interview the music video’s producer, Douglas Sonders, told Allie Is Wired that the song is about “an elusive beautiful girl that you see in a nightclub and can’t seem to catch.”

For those unaware, the controversy began when Madonna yelled out to the crowd at the Ultra Music Festival “Have You Seen Molly?” This caused DJ Deadmau5 to blast the material girl for referencing a “Molly” (a form of ecstasy) and for promoting drug use.

Madonna then responded by saying she was not making a drug reference, but was referring to her friend Cedric Gervais‘ song, “Have You Seen Molly.”

Anyways, if you couldn’t already tell “Molly” is a very dance/electronic type of song and the video reflects that. It is set in a club where there are raver girls and break dancers and apparently no rules against public lewd acts!

Over all, its a fun video that will for sure make people want to go out and party.

Sonders described the video as “very provocative and sexy, but that emulates the viewer’s desire for that unobtainable one girl.”
