Brandy is embarking on her big comeback by collaborating with Chris Brown for her new song, “Put It Down,” the first single from her forthcoming album, Two Eleven.

“I think the fans have been very patient with me, but I just wanted to make sure that this album was right — the right type of music, the right core,” Brandy told Billboard. “I feel like we’re getting to that point where I felt comfortable with putting something out.”

Last night, Brandy was profiled on VH1′s Behind the Music.

During the episode, Brandy admitted to being “the unhappiest teenager” in the world.

The depression resulted in her struggle with a serious eating disorder.

“People don’t understand that being the hottest star or making the most money does not mean anything. I’m here to tell you I was making so much money – I was omnipresent – and I was the unhappiest teenager, probably, in the world.”

“Two Eleven” will hit digital music services on May 8th.
