Last night on American Idol 2012 we got to see our Top 9 potential idols perform. The contestants performed songs from their personal musical idols. The finalists also broke down into groups of three to perform songs from musical greats Michael Jackson, Madonna, Stevie Nicks and Fleetwood Mac.

On last night’s show the mentor was Fleetwood Mac singer/songwriter and solo artist Stevie Nicks. The 9 contestants who performed last night were: Joshua Ledet’s video; Heejun Han’s video; Jessica Sanchez video; Colton Dixon video; Philip Philips’ video; DeAndre Brackensick’s video; Elise Testone; Hollie Cavanaugh and Skylar Laine.

Who are you rooting for? I really liked Joshua Ledet last night. At the end of his performance of ‘Without You’ Joshua was in tears and the judges gave him a standing ovation. Let us know what you thought of his performance? Do you think he is safe tonight?

On tonight’s show reigning American Idol winner Scotty McCreery returns to perform “Water Tower Town” live. Also taking the stage will be Nicki Minaj to perform “Starships.”
