Last night, Allie is Wired was invited to the exclusive launch of Rock & Republic for Kohl’s!

Held at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, it was a red carpet event packed with the city’s discerning trendsetters.

DJ Ruckus kept everyone hyped and grooving while we waited for the models to stomp the runway. Gorgeous men in black tie passed around flutes of champagne as the celebs started to pour in.

Socialite Tinsley Mortimer chatted with the divine Zoe Saldana, while Gossip Girl costars Ed Westwick and Penn Badgely caught up with Boardwalk Empire’s Vincent Piazza, Ashlee Simpson’s beau. Ashlee herself was looking very Rock & Republic as usual and dishing with the glowing (and very pregnant!) Molly Sims.

Fresh-faced Mena Suvari arrived just in time for the show, as did New York’s fave housewife, Kelly Bensimon. The crowd made for a very fabulous front row!

The show was one edgy, hip look after another. Rock & Republic really stayed true to their brand and aesthetic, while managing to reach an entirely new demographic by partnering with Kohl’s.

We saw lots of skin-tight denim and sexy dresses with metal accents. We loved the pops of color in the shoes and well-styled hats, and the relaxed way the tops hung on the models’ frames.
