Moneyball was adapted from the book of the same name by author Michael Lewis, and tells the true life account of the Oakland Athletics major league baseball team and their general manager Billy Beane’s attempt to turn the team around, and convert them into a serious competitor within the American League’s western division.
Pitt plays the role of The A’s Manager, with another Oscar worthy performance turned in by Jonah Hill in a supporting role as assistant GM Peter Brand.
