Wired Exclusive: Lauren Bagliore’s A/W Runway Presentation (Photos)

Allie is Wired was front row last night at Lauren Bagliore’s runway presentation during Mercedes Benz Fashion Week.

After slipping past the velvet ropes, we squeezed our way through the trendy crowd to our prime seats. Behind a curtain at the head of the runway, we could hear the excited chatter of models and crew making finishing touches.

The lights went down and the music got loud as the first model stepped onto the runway.

The collection was edgy, featuring a lot of dark neutrals and hoods. It managed to be body conscious and feminine, while keeping a deconstructed fit and hint of androgyny.

Lauren Bagliore is a native New Yorker and Fashion Institute of Technology graduate who developed her own fashion voice in the design houses of Vivienne Westwood, Zac Posen, Paul Hardy, Libertine and Tod‘s.

That voice today is feminine, edgy, fashion-forward and modern.

The collection adores an architectural fluidity in its lines, poignant draping and extreme versatility that are both signature of Bagliore along with her luxurious Italian textiles that are purely pleasurable against skin.
