Simon Cowell has just made some exciting announcements regarding the second season of “The X Factor.”

“You just can’t keep doing the same thing! It’s time for a change,” said Cowell today during a press call.

There is going to be quite a shake up next season. Although there are talks as of who (Britney Spears, Beyonce, Janet Jackson etc.) will take the judging seats of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger, Simon avoided naming names.

What Simon and L.A. Reid could reveal is that there will in fact be two women judges joining next season.

Then Simon started talking about the new host for the show, well I should really say hosts.

“You’ve got so much information you have to relay as one person and I think that it’s almost impossible to have one person doing the hosting job,” revealed Simon.

“You’ve got to give out so much information now, the telephone lines, the integration of the sponsors. It’s a much, much bigger role.”

Simon was asked about how he would feel about having Ryan Seacrest crossover to the X Factor to host. He replied, “I think Ryan is brilliant at what he does… I think Ryan is also a very good negotiator. I admire him for that. He’ll stay on Idol.”

So I guess we will just have to wait and see.
