The 65-year-old television chef has revealed that she is losing the pounds despite her Type 2 Diabetes.
Deen, who is best known for her not so healthy food choices and heavy use of butter, reveals “I’ve dropped two pant sizes and I feel great!”
The cookbook author credits her weight-loss to walking 30 minutes a day and small portions.
But although she is obviously losing weight, Paula says “We don’t own a scale in our house. Every six months I go for a physical and find out. Now it’s time to see the doctor. She’ll be so happy if I’ve lost weight.”
“People see me cooking all these wonderful, Southern, fattening recipes … it’s for entertainment. People have to be responsible,” said Dean to Al Roker on the “Today” show.
