Nick and Aaron Carter‘s sister, Leslie Carter, has died, her publicist confirmed.

She was only 25!

“Our family is grieving right now and it’s a private matter. We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter,” the Carter family said in a statement.

“We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time.”

Details about Carter’s death have not been released. A request for comment from Nick Carter’s publicist have not been returned.

Leslie’s song “Like Wow!” made it on the Shrek soundtrack in 2001. After the record label dropped her because she couldn’t compete with Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera, she moved over to pop rock.

In 2008, Leslie married her husband Mike; she gave birth to their daughter Alyssa on April 1, 2011.
