American Idol heads to the Gateway of The West, St. Louis, Missouri tonight in search of the next American Idol.

On the last night’s show the judges hit Portland, Oregon. It was the first time that the show had been to Portland, which is better known for producing underground indie guitar bands than mainstream pop singers.

Although they didn’t find much wealth of talent in Portland – they did give 45 people a golden ticket to Hollywood.
