‘The X-Factor’ Winner Melanie Amaro & Elton John Pepsi Commercial – Behind the Scenes (Video)

Melanie Amaro was “crowned” the winner of the first American season of “The X Factor” -.

Now the 19 year-old chanteuse must please “King” Elton John in a humorous new Pepsi commercial which will air during the broadcast of Super Bowl XLVI on February 5, 2012.

“Set in a rock-fantasy version of medieval times, the 60 second commercial features Melanie Amaro performing in front of a “royal court of rock,” including Elton John’s character, the King,” reports Pepsi.

“With epic Pepsi scale and a big dose of humor, the commercial ends with a twist and the tagline, “Where there’s Pepsi, There’s Music”.

Amaro signed to Epic Records, the label announced Tuesday.

Amaro snagged the largest guaranteed prize in television history with a $5-million recording contract to Sony Music through Syco, a joint venture between Sony and show creator Simon Cowell, when she took the crown in December.
