Singer Seal sat down with Ellen DeGeneres, who couldn’t help but ask about his split from Heidi Klum.

Seal showered Klum with prais, calling her this “great woman who I married” and noting that she’d given him “four wonderful gifts” in the form of their young children. But, he said, “You just grow apart after a while.”

Another thing that’s clear, the wedding ring isn’t coming off.

“We were shocked because you go into these things with the greatest intentions, you know, when you say ‘I do,’ when you say ‘Till death do us part,’ those vows hold value. They’re not just words.”

He doesn’t sound like a man who wants to break up with anyone.
