A video has surfaced showing Russell Brand removing his wedding ring in November, a month before the couple officially announced their divorce.

While promoting a forthcoming American college tour, the comedian also explains his interest in exploring sorority life, or what he calls “sex clubs for women.”

“I am going to meet people from sororities and fraternities. I don’t know what a sorority is except for what I have seen on [porn site] Nudevista — that they are sort of sex clubs for women,” cracks Brand.

Then the ring comes off!

As Brand takes off his ring, he adds, “I’m just going to place this somewhere very, very safe for the next week.”

Meanwhile, Katy Perry has announced that she’s pulling out of an appearance at the People’s Choice Awards tomorrow.

Katy was expected to perform her single, “The One That Got Away,” which would have marked the singer’s first public appearance since the split.

“Unfortunately I will not be able to attend the People’s Choice Awards. I want to thank u all for voting for me, fingers crossed! #KATYCATS.”
