Jim Carrey’s Daughter Got ‘Special Treatment’ On American Idol
It must be nice to have a rich and famous parent…
As we reported earlier, Jane Carry, the daughter of actor and comedian Jim Carrey, is already on her way to Hollywood (as if her dad couldn’t just fly her there on a private jet) after auditioning for American Idol in San Diego.
So Jane had to camp outside for days to audition in front of the judges like everyone else, right?
“She didn’t have to sleep outside and wait for hours hoping to audition like everyone else,” a source reveals. “She basically had an appointment and showed up!”
The source added that they doubted if the judges knew about Jane’s special treatment.
“Her audition was pre-arranged with the producers. She did not wait and line up for hours or days outside – she had a time, she showed up and went in.”
How annoying!
Jane had said in her pre-audition interview that, “The last name definitely helps and hurts, I feel like there’s kind of this pressure to maybe be better, because if I make it somewhere, I run the risk of people saying ‘Oh you only got there because of this.’”

Because she is a public figure, she can’t camp out on the street.
Public figures shouldn’t be on a competition show then… unless its Dancing with the Stars of course haha
The show’s reputation has taken a hit on this one. The show’s producers have said that they don’t give special treatment to anyone and they gave it to Jane. People wait in line outside for days to meet the judges and Jane didn’t have to. She has a good set of pipes. Why didn’t her dad call his agent for a favor and get Jane signed? I wonder what other crooked things (example: phone/text vote fixing rumors) go on behind the scenes of American Idol?
i think you guy are just mad at that jane carry is beutiful and has a very good voice and you dont. why does everybody have to look at where some one can from or foot steps they walk in GROW UP. mabye she did get special treatment maybe it is cause her father loves her. if you people are still made after reading your parents might have not loved you enough and that is why you are judging this talented young woman.
My parents loved me enough to make me work for the things I wanted…
