Adam Lambert and his boyfriend, Sauli Koskinen, recently made headlines during a trip to Finland.

According to local media, cops were called and Lambert and Koskin were placed into custody.

Today Adam is setting the record straight with Ellen DeGeneres on exactly what went down with his boyfriend, who was also in the audience to support him.

Adam admitted that relationships are “work” and that he was “lucky to have fallen in love with a great partner.”

He said, “Everybody has their ups and downs, thinks happen — and when you add alcohol to a situation, things can get out of control.”

Adam’s upcoming CD “Trespassing” will be released on March 20th. The album has been named one of the 12 most anticipated albums of 2012.
