Katy Perry Receives Divorce Papers For Christmas

Russell Brand has just served Katy Perry with divorce papers!

The British comedian said on Friday:

“Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.”

This saddens me so.

The two met on the set of Brand’s 2010 comedy Get Him to the Greek, although her cameo was cut from the film. They connected instantly.

Russell appeared on “Ellen” just this month, slamming divorce rumors — claiming:

“I’m really happily married … I’m married to Katy. Perpetually, until death do us part was the pledge. I’m still alive.”

Russell and Katy were married in October 2010 at a resort inside a tiger reserve in India.
