Ashton Kutcher Quits Twitter Over Penn State Scandal
The twitterverse is all abuzz today over a tweet sent out last night by Two and a Half Men star Ashton Kutcher.
The actor tweeted his support of Joe Paterno, the Penn State football coach who was fired last night over his involvement in covering up the rape of a ten year old boy.
In 2002, a graduate student came to Paterno saying that he witnessed assistant coach Jerry Sandusky molesting the child in the showers.
Kutcher’s tweet in support of JoePa set off fireworks all over the net, and many angry fans fired back at Kutch saying things like “F**k you. He covered up child rape you sick, geriatric f**k.”
Once he had realized his blunder, Kutcher immediately took down the tweet, and posted a retraction and apology stating that he had not known about the scandal that had rocked Penn State. “Heard Joe was fired, fully recant previous tweet! Didn’t have full story. #admitwhenYoumakemistakes.”
What makes things look even worse for Ashton is his involvement in trying to abolish child abuse. “As an advocate in the fight against child sexual exploitation, I could not be more remorseful for all involved in the Penn St. case.”

Overnight, the embarrassed star decided that he no longer had the ability to speak to his over 8 million twitter followers, and announced via his posterous account that he was leaving his twitter (@aplusk) to his management team over at Katalyst Media.
So what do you guys think… terrible blunder, or innocent mistake on Kutcher’s part?

He is such a douche, too bad his management team can’t take over his fidelity…

You’d Ashton would go and find out “why” the coach got fired before he fires off his tweets. While I think it was an accident, he needs to be more mindful before he runs his mouth off to the entire internet. He may have learned his lesson now, though.
Well, Ashton won’t be leaving Twitter altogether. He’ll still have his secret http://twitter.com/unmaskd account to have fun with.
Sure, it’s gotten him in trouble before, but it seems that he likes being open no matter what.
So, he’s not allowed to support someone accused of a crime?
And nobody has the balls to support Ashton?
You all make me sick.
