Are you ready for TV’s next hit dating show?

Well here it is! From the producers that brought us Blind Date, I give you ‘Excused’!

‘Excused’ is a new syndicated dating show hosted by the winner of NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Iliza Shlesinger.

In each episode we are introduced to a group of men competing for the chance to date one of two women (or vice versa). The two of women whittle the group down to one based on first impressions, personality and intimate dates. The last guy standing then gets his opportunity to select the girl he wants to date and hopefully find love with!

Or as the host Iliza puts it, “The show is about dating, but the most important component is the horrible, horrible rejection the daters receive when I excuse them from the show- that’s what people really tune in for, the fun insults.”

Also in a television first, viewers now have the opportunity to actually DATE contestants from the show by becoming a member of Jazzed, a social dating site!

Talk about breaking the fourth wall!

And as if that wasn’t enough excitement, the show will also feature some celebrity guests (cough-cough Jersey Shore).

The whole show is just giant ball of craziness, drama and fun! Host, Iliza Shlesinger adds the in-your-face comedy that really sets this show apart from dating shows of the past.

When asked what her favorite part of the show was, Shlesinger tells Allie Is Wired, “My favorite part is getting to come up with jokes right on the spot and pretty much make any joke I make up- very few comedians get that artistic license when they sign up to do a show. I love it.”
