Omar Sharif Slaps Woman (Video)

Legendary actor Omar Sharif was attending a film festival in Qatar, when he slapped a woman on the red carpet!

Sharif was at the Doha Tribeca Film Festival for a screening of one of his movies, when a woman approached him on the red carpet, attempting to take a picture with the 79-year-old actor.

Sharif cursed the woman in Arabic, telling her to wait her turn. The woman then smiled and posed for a photo with Sharif like nothing ever happened. Probably a cross between shock and excitement — she’s a fan.

It’s unknown whether Sharif made contact with the woman’s face, but one reporter who was at the scene tweeted, “Omar Sharif just hit a woman. Very stupidly, in front of a camera.”

You cannot impose your own cultural values on another country like that — for all you know men in Qatar could be required to slap a woman a day.
