George Lopez’s ‘Lopez Tonight’ Talk Show Canceled

George Lopez‘s late night talk show “Lopez Tonight” was canceled by TBS.

“TBS has reached the difficult decision not to order a third season of ‘Lopez Tonight,’” TBS said in a statement.

“Thursday will be the final episode of the show. We are proud to have partnered with George Lopez, who is an immensely talented comedian and entertainer,” the network’s statement continued. “TBS has valued its partnership with George and appreciates all of his work on behalf of the network, both on and off the air.”

It was not clear when Lopez, himself, learned the news.

According to the New York Times, TBS had been discussing cutting Lopez’s show for months, as ratings began to dive.
